Kirk Dennis, the Undertaker

It was time for the Killer Clowns to start high school. JJ and Juno arrived to Gotham High School, and immediately made an impression. They were standing out from the crowd with JJ in a purple suit and green hair, and Juno in her jester costume.

- What are you staring at? asked JJ. One has to dress up the first day at high school!

At the school yard was a guy in a black suit. More discrete than the Killer Clowns, it was obvious that he also had been dressing up. His eyes caught Juno, and then he couldn’t take his eyes of her. She was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Juno also caught his eyes and smiled at him. JJ also noticed the other guy’s attention. Always guarding Juno he took an dislike to the other guy and approached him.

- Stop staring at my sister, if you want to survive high school!

- Don’t listen to him. Call me Juno, everyone does.

- Sorry for staring at you, but you’re a very beautiful girl. I’m Kirk Dennis.

- We’re the Killer Clowns, always looking for some fun. He doesn’t look much fun, Juno. He looks as serious as an undertaker.

- You know, JJ, our parents always found the fun in funerals!

Juno hugged Kirk, and JJ didn’t approve to it. When JJ and Juno went into the school building it annoyed JJ that Kirk went along with them.

- Still hanging around? Don’t you have any classes to go to?

- We haven’t got our schedules yet.

Juno hugged Kirk again. The important thing was that she liked him. They continued to cuddle for a while before the new students were being introduced to their classes.

Juno was told to take of her jester hat and mask during class. She had been told to leave her jester costume at home hereafter. JJ had also been thought of being to extravagant, and had been told to dress in something more appropriate than a purple suit. Kirk’s black suit hadn’t caught the same attention, but he had also been told to dress more ordinary at high school. They had explained that they had been dressing up for their first day at high school, because they wanted to celebrate.

It was time for lunch. JJ and Juno went to have their lunch in the school yard. It annoyed JJ that Kirk was waiting for them there.

- Not the Undertaker again!

- We have a date, JJ. I want us to have lunch together all three.

Kirk seemed to be hanging on to Juno.

- Maybe I can spill on his suit.

- Don’t you dare, JJ!

- Hiya, Juno! Hiya, JJ! Great to have lunch together. We’re getting to know each other already the first day at high school.

- There’s a lot you don’t know about me, muttered JJ.

- I bought salad for lunch.

- That’s not enough for lunch.

- I bought hamburgers too.

- Maybe I can spill on his suit all the same.

- Don’t try!

They all started eating. JJ didn’t enjoy his lunch. Why was that boring Undertaker hanging around? Kirk and Juno were holding hands and kissing across the table.

JJ had a lot of girls, which he didn’t care about, but it was a different thing when it came to Juno. She was no virgin. Juno had been with some guys, but it hadn’t been serious. It seemed different with Kirk. JJ knew Juno would find a partner, but all the same she was his girl. Since they were kids, JJ and Juno had been very much left to themselves. JJ was only ten months older than Juno, but he was very overprotective. Harley hadn’t handled the children as good as she imagined too. She meant well, but becoming a widow when being pregnant and having a newborn baby had been too much for her. When Harley had her breakdowns JJ and Juno cuddled up in one of their beds, seeking comfort and support from each other. This had been innocent when they were kids, but it became different when they reached adolescence. Juno knew JJ had more feeling for her than he should. Once he had kissed her, and the look in his eyes had scared her. He was her best friend, and she wanted to keep it that way. However JJ had to accept that Juno one day wanted her own family.

It was because of Batsy JJ and Juno had to grow up without their dad. His adoptive son Birdboy had killed Joker. At least Brucie was now crippled, and walking with a crutch. However the Killer Clowns hadn’t had their revenge yet. Their time would come when Batsy least expected it. JJ smiled at the thought.

JJ, Juno and Kirk left for their classes. There was no possibility to get rid of Kirk. He and Juno kept teaming up during the day. Of course he was also waiting for JJ and Juno at the parking yard after the school day had ended. Juno rushed to Kirk, threw herself around his neck and kissed him. JJ had enough. He sat down in the purple car and started honking at Juno.

- C’mon, Juno! We’re late!

Juno kissed Kirk one last time, waved at him and ran to JJ’s car. Kirk left in a black car.

- We’ve been making up plans for tonight. We have a date.

- You’ve been dating all day!

Juno was in a good mood, but JJ wasn’t. He looked as if he could murder someone. Juno enthusiastic told Harley about what a nice guy she had met. After dinner she left to meet Kirk. JJ was zapping the TV. He was annoyed about everything.

- Juno is becoming an adult, said Harley. This is normal for her. Don’t be jealous. Actually you should also get a partner.

- I have many girls.

- You don’t keep them. They’re temporary.

- They’re good enough for a one-night-stand, nothing else.

JJ looked at his dad’s photo on the wall, seeking inspiration. He then withdraw to his room.

- Have you stolen new shoes, JJ? asked Harley.

- Not lately, mummy. These are not my shoes! They belong to Kirk! Damn, Kirk followed Juno home! That was the sounds I heard last night! That was Kirk shagging Juno! I’ll kill him!

- Calm down, JJ! Juno, come down and present Kirk!

After a while Juno and Kirk came down the stairs. JJ hated to see Juno in her night dress, and Kirk in his boxer shorts, cuddling and kissing.

- Have you met Stan and Ollie, my pet hyenas, Undertaker? They can bite it off!

- Mummy, this is Kirk Dennis, my boyfriend. You’ve already met JJ.

- I’ll kill you!

- Shut up, JJ! Juno, go and make breakfast with JJ. Kirk is invited too.

JJ and Juno left for the kitchen. Kirk was flattered to meet Harley Quinn, Joker’s widow. She still looked good. That ensured that Juno would also age with dignity.

- Dr Napier, what an honor to meet Harley Quinn…Ouch!

Harley had twisted Kirk’s arm. She smiled at him.

- Juno is not any one-night-stand, hissed Harley. You better stay with her, and treat her the way you should. Otherwise I’ll let JJ get it the way he wants. Got it, Undertaker?

- I love Juno, I want to marry her! Trust me, Dr Napier, I’ll always stay with Juno!

- Call me Harley, everyone does. Welcome to the Happy Family.

Harley let go of Kirk’s arm. JJ and Juno were making the table.

- Why did you bring him here? You’re my girl!

- I’m Kirk’s girl too. Tea, Kirk? What’s happened to your arm?

- It got stuck somewhere.

JJ smiled. He guessed what had happened.

After breakfast Juno and Kirk also got dressed. Then they all left for high school. To make JJ happy Juno went in his car.

JJ disliked that Kirk started spending a lot of time at the headquarter. To give Juno and Kirk more privacy Harley suggested that they moved to one of the other hideouts. Juno and Kirk enjoyed to spend more time for themselves. When JJ realized that Kirk wouldn’t disappear he thought he could be useful in the Happy Family. Now Kirk also was involved in their crimes. JJ and Kirk didn’t become friends, but they became allies and they shared their love for Juno. With JJ being a swinger, Harley saw the chance to secure the third generation of Killer Clowns.
